In fact, license sales show almost 20 percent of all hunters and over 25 percent of all new bowhunters (click for video) are women. Hunting is a time-honored tradition where you actually become part of nature and experience a more honest way of securing your food. Additionally, wild game is much healthier, having less than half the fat of beef and is never subjected to hormones, antibiotics and vaccines. Which would you rather eat?

Learn to SCUBA Dive

Becoming a certified SCUBA diver will give you the knowledge and confidence to begin exploring an environment that most people never even consider exists. This mysterious world below the waves is unknown to the vast majority of humans. Only those who have entered the SCUBA-diving community get to experience even a glimpse of this world of enchantment and wonder filled with strange creatures, shipwrecks and awe-inspiring underwater vistas.

Many people dread the snow and cold of winter, but the adventurous honestly look forward to it and actively find ways to enjoy the outdoors during the frozen months. Ice fishing, snowmobiling, running a sled-dog team, sledding and skiing are just a few winter-time activities that actually fill the colder months with excitement and adventure.

Learning to fly is easier then most people realize. The light-sport pilot certification allows you to experience all the freedom of flying with as little as 25 hours of professional training. After just a few hours flying with your instructor you'll be ready to fly solo to complete your training requirements.

Most often referred to as “Jet Skis” or “WaveRunners,” both of which are actually trademarked names of Kawasaki and Yamaha, respectively, personal watercrafts open up a whole new way to have fun on the water. Experiencing the sun on your face and the wind in your hair while zipping across the water is a singularly amazing and utterly unique experience that makes you feel as free as a bird and like a kid again.

Float Trips

From the Rocky Mountains to Alaska, floating silently down fabled rivers like the Snake, Yellowstone and Kenai, provide otherwise inaccessible opportunities. These include seeing undisturbed wildlife in their native habitat, viewing unimaginable scenery, camping on the river overnight and going after trophy trout and all five species of Pacific salmon, all the while hardly ever hearing a motorized vehicle.

From the tiniest reef-dwelling species to gigantic and harmless whale sharks, there are over 18,000 species of fish swimming in the “light zone” of Earth’s oceans. While dolphins are not technically fish, there is no explaining the magical feeling you will have the first time one these highly intelligent, curious and friendly creatures swims by you while you are SCUBA diving or snorkeling.
